Coming together in support for Cora Fort and family

tough couple of days

Well, things got tough again. As some of you may know, mom started a bacterial lung infection on Thursday. Yesterday she had a fever and had to go in to the hospital. After blood tests and receiving hydration, she was able to go back home without a temp.

Saddly, today mom found out that her sister Amelia passed away in the Phillipines from complications from Diabetes. On top of that, mom salso found out that my friends mom Teresa, whom she has become close to found out today that there is nothing more they can do for her brain tumor.

I spoke with mom, and she is very upset. Please pray that she can heal and also for dad who is providing such a great support. Also, please keep teresa, and auntie Amelia and her family in your prayers.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

Blessings, Michael

The Holidays Christmas and New Years

Christmas flew by!

Mom was released from the hospital, and then shortly afterwards, I got very sick, and ended up missing Christmas with the family.

Christine, Paul and the kids were able to come up, so mom and dad got to spend a lot of great time with them, and then around New Years, we actually celebrated Christmas, as I started feeling better and was able to visit, but not get close too mom yet.

Mom was just completed her fourth and final chemo treatment at Swedish. Due to the complications from her last treatment, Dr. G. lowered her medication dose.

Please continue to keep mom and dad in your prayers.

I have to say, that dad continually amazes me. he is tireless in his support and care for mom. I am completely humbled watching how dad handles this challenge with such PATIENCE and LOVE. I know I can’t do it… I have tried, and I don’t have the stamina. he has been at this pretty much 24/7 since July.

God definitely sends his grace to help mom and dad out.
