Long Awaited Update
Hello friends!
i received an email today from a complete stranger who has been reading the site, and wanted to let me know that mom was in her prayers.
Thank you so much again to everyone who has held mom up in prayer.
The great news is that mom completed her treatment!!!
Dad was amazing as a caregiver. I don’t know how he did it!
I wish I had one hundredth of his discipline and patience.
The even better news is that i just finished helping mom and dad move out of the condo they were staying in during treatment, and back down to their house in tacoma, and then even better yet, down to California for a quick visit with sisters family and grandkids, and then down to Arizona to their winter home and sunshine!
Today they picked up their Best Man from their wedding at the airport in Phoenix. They haven’t seen him since then!
So for right now, while mom recovers from the ravages of chemo and radiation, they are getting to begin to enjoy life once again.
The updates on this site have slowed because, my job has been crazy lately, and between work and trying to be there for mom and dad, it leaves little time for internet.
For those of you out there who are presently going through cancer treatment as patient or caregiver…you are in our prayers. It is an extremely tough cross to bear. if you need any guidance, feel free to email me, and I will help where I can, or try and guide you towards someone who can.
